Pet vaccination and deworming in Nagpur
Vaccines are the cheapest protection your pet will ever get. Here's how we plan them at Precise Pet Clinic.
Why vaccines matter so much here
Parvovirus, distemper and rabies are still common around Nagpur, and we see what they do to unvaccinated pets every year. Parvo and distemper can be treated, but it's hard on the pet, stressful for the family and not always successful. A few properly timed shots prevent most of it.
For puppies
Puppies get a series of core vaccines starting at around 6 to 8 weeks, repeated every few weeks until roughly 16 weeks old. These usually cover distemper, parvovirus, hepatitis, leptospirosis and parainfluenza. Rabies is given as per the schedule we set for your puppy, followed by boosters.
For kittens
Kittens follow a similar pattern with their own core vaccines against feline panleukopenia, calicivirus and herpesvirus, plus rabies. Indoor cats need them too.
For adult dogs and cats
After the first year, most pets need regular boosters to stay protected. Missed a few years? Don't worry. Bring your pet in and we'll work out a catch-up plan.
Deworming
Worms are very common in puppies and kittens and can also pass to people, especially children. We'll give you a deworming schedule along with the vaccine plan so both stay on track.

Vaccine questions we hear a lot
Have a different one? Ask us during your visit or call the clinic.
When should my puppy get the first vaccine?
Most puppies start their core vaccine series at around 6 to 8 weeks of age, with boosters every few weeks until about 16 weeks. We'll set the exact dates at the first visit.
Is the rabies vaccine really necessary for an indoor pet?
Yes. Rabies is fatal and still present in India, and indoor pets can slip out or meet a stray at the door. Rabies vaccination is one we always recommend for dogs and cats.
How often should I deworm my pet?
Puppies and kittens need frequent deworming in the first months. Adults usually need it every few months. The right interval depends on age and lifestyle, so ask us at your visit.
Can my pet be vaccinated if it's unwell?
Usually we wait until your pet is healthy, because a sick body doesn't respond as well to vaccines. We check your pet before every shot.
